50 cent to sue Taco Bell’s ass

It seems US fastfood chain Taco Bell has found a cheap a way of creating publicity. Earlier this week the company’s president, Greg Creed, sent famous rapper 50 cent a letter challenging him to change his name to 79, 89 or 99 cent. Also, he was invited to rap his way through the Drive In, which seems to be a popular waste of time as you can learn from a look on youtube.

In exchange Taco Bell would donate $10.000 to a charity of 50’s choice.  $ 10.000 is, of course, peanuts for a star like 50 cent to appear anywhere but his own toilet. Personally, I wouldn’t actually pay anything to see him.

Rappers being what they are, a reply from 50 cent didn’t take long to arrive, it didn’t sound too friendly either:

“When my legal team is finished with them, Taco Bell is going to have a new corporate slogan: ‘We messed with the bull and got the horns!’”

This isn’t the first time Greg Creed has created publicity for his company in this way. Last year he invited Paris Hilton to appear at a Taco Bell and hand out free meals after he found out Taco Bell was Paris’ first stop after she got out of jail. This cheap strategy has proven to be working, I’ve mentioned Taco Bell so many times now I think I’ll go out get me some taco’s…
