In the Netherlands we have a socialist party (SP) like every country does. Aux Pays-Bas, nous avons un parti socialiste (SP), comme tous les pays le fait. Advertising is not risk-free! La publicité n'est pas sans risque! However most companies seem to think it is. Cependant, la plupart des entreprises semblent le penser. I wonder whether it’s laziness, indifference of the marketing director or a lack of time to keep an eye on it.Picking an audience, figuring out the means of communication and being creative just won’t do when you want to place a billboard. For this week’s battle I decided it would be a good idea to compare advertisement campaigns by charity organizations. A few days back, I was talking about virals, and how they allow producers to show explicit content that would never make it to television. Most reasons viral commercial campaigns have become so incredibly popular are quite obvious: They’re cheap (no air-time needs to be bought), they’re hip and since they’re watched on a voluntary basis most people watching them actually pay attention to what’s being offered.
